Paddy Gillespie served with the American Forces in WWI having resided in
Chicago as a young man.  He was posted in France and was in the Battle of
Meuse Arrogon, the last battle to be fought by US troops.  The war ended after
that.  He returned to Chicago and worked there until the mid-thirties, return-
ed to Ireland and married.  He bought a farm in Killybegs; hence, how the
family got to Killybegs. (Mary Gillespie, 8/93).
